NCAC Mission Statement

Maintain a forum for cooperative planning between amateur radio leadership.
Facilitate coordination and support between jurisdictions in the ARRL Sections of Maryland/DC and Virginia.
Encourage, and when necessary facilitate, the training of amateur radio operators and others in the areas of :
Emergency and public service communications
Preparedness
Planning
Execution and post-event analysis and debriefing
Promote public awareness of the contribution of amateur radio operators during public events, communication emergencies and disasters.
Encourage others interested in public service, especially young people, to become licensed amateur radio operators.
Educate government and public service agency officials of the capabilities and potential service available from the amateur community.
Provide a presence at amateur radio functions such as hamfests, and non-amateur radio functions such as shows, fairs, etc. to promote the Amateur Radio Service, to advertise the activities of the organization and to identify organizations or events for whom we might provide public or emergency service communications.
