We are looking for Amateur Radio Operators for the 37th Marine Corps Marathon

Starting in June, we will be looking for Amateur Radio Operators for the 37th Marine Corps Marathon!

Registration will open for Amateur Radio Operators to support the 37th (2012) Marine Corps Marathon in June. This will be the 35th year that Amateur Radio has provided communications support for the Marathon. Amateur Radio also provides real time information from the race course back to the race officials. We are their eyes and ears on the course.

We will need about 136 operators again this year. Some of the positions that we will need to fill include: mile marker operators, aid station operators (including voice, packet, and 1.2 GHz digital data operators), water point operators, net control operators, and shadows for race officials.

Please come back to this web page on June 1st to get a link to the official sign up web page. Starting in June it will take you to the Ham Radio Volunteer Sign Up at the Marine Corps Marathon Website. The only way to sign up is to go through the Marine Corps Marathon Website.
